A growing independent insurance agency is seeking a Commercial Lines Account Manager to support and manage a book of small to mid-sized commercial accounts. This is a client-facing role ideal for someone who enjoys full-cycle account management and is comfortable handling day-to-day servicing responsibilities while building long-term client relationships.

The agency is looking for someone with a strong service mindset who can manage accounts from A to Z, including certificates, endorsements, renewals, and ongoing client support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and service an assigned commercial book of business from quoting and binding through renewal
  • Handle day-to-day servicing needs including certificates, endorsements, audits, billing questions, and claims support
  • Manage renewal timelines and proactively coordinate marketing efforts with carriers
  • Prepare renewal and rewrite proposals with coverage recommendations
  • Maintain accurate documentation and workflow management within the agency management system
  • Assist with agency bill accounts and premium finance agreements
  • Communicate underwriting concerns, cancellations, and non-renewals to clients while helping identify solutions
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, carrier partners, and producers
  • Ensure compliance with carrier guidelines and agency procedures

Qualifications

  • 2 to 5+ years of commercial lines account management or servicing experience
  • Experience handling small to mid-sized commercial accounts across multiple lines of coverage
  • Ability to independently manage a book of business and prioritize competing deadlines
  • Experience with certificates, endorsements, renewals, and account servicing workflows
  • Agency management system experience preferred
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Active Property & Casualty license required
