Job Description

National General Insurance is seeking an experienced Property Claims leader to manage a remote team of adjusters handling homeowners property claims across Georgia and neighboring territories. This role is ideal for a leader with a strong background in residential property claims, coverage investigations, estimating, and team development who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

The Associate Manager will provide daily leadership, coaching, and technical guidance to a team of adjusters managing a variety of claim types, including complex wind, hail, water, roof, and total loss claims. This individual will be responsible for driving claim quality, operational excellence, development of team members, and customer outcomes while ensuring compliance with company guidelines and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a remote team of approximately 5 property claims adjusters.

  • Provide technical expertise and oversight on homeowners property claims, including complex water, wind, hail, roof, and total loss losses.

  • Support adjusters through claim investigations, coverage analysis, authority decisions, and claim resolution strategies.

  • Partner with consultants and leadership teams to ensure consistency in claim handling processes, estimating standards, and authority guidelines.

  • Monitor team performance, workloads, customer experience, and quality outcomes.

  • Coach adjusters through escalated claim situations and coverage concerns, ensuring appropriate handling and collaboration with internal partners.

  • Drive continuous improvement through training, mentoring, and talent development initiatives.

  • Foster a collaborative and engaged remote team culture while maintaining accountability and performance standards.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Leadership experience within Property Claims.

  • Strong background handling Homeowners Property claims.

  • Experience leading remote or geographically dispersed teams.

  • Expertise in coverage investigations and claim resolution.

  • Experience with wind, hail, water, roof, and total loss claims.

  • Advanced Xactimate estimating experience.

  • Strong understanding of claim processes, authority levels, and operational best practices.

  • Excellent communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize work, stay organized, and manage competing priorities.

  • Proven success developing adjusters through coaching and mentoring.

  • Experience managing high-volume property claim environments.

  • Familiarity with Southeastern markets, particularly Georgia, is a plus.

Compensation

Compensation offered for this role is 80,000.00 - 136,625.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.
